Clarence Valley Council, in conjuction with the Lower Clarence Scottish Association, is offering special Scholarship Awards this year for local competitors, who reside in the Clarence Valley Council area.
These awards are open to any age and to qualify competitors must compete at the Maclean Highland Gathering this year.
Entry is automatically taken from local competitors' solo entries.
A special panel including the judges will select the three winners and the panel's decision is final.
These three awards are a one-off payment of $300 each.
The Lower Clarence Scottish Association in Maclean will again offer Scholarship Awards in 2022.
These awards are given to support talented competitors in their field of Scottish Culture.
The Maclean Scholarship Awards total $1500 and will be allocated in three categories of $500 each, Piping, Drumming and Dancing.

To qualify competitors must compete at the Maclean Highland Gathering. The awards are a one-off payment of $500 each and are given to assist competitors specialised tuition costs.
A special panel including the competition judges will select the three winners and the panel’s decision is final.
